Have you noticed that once every now and then you feel really ANXIOUS?
You start to get antsy while scrolling through Instagram. You secretly long to create something more for yourself. You love this #momlife, but you need an outlet for your creativity, a big goal to keep you sharp.. and you dream of owning your own company.
You see other moms living it, and you think—I can do that. .
You get a rush of enthusiasm and start to write down ideas. You pop over to canva and design a logo. You google social media growth strategies. It starts to feel really exciting. YOU CAN DO THIS.
And just when you’re deep into big dreams and plans, your 5th grader needs help with math, you get a call from the school that your toddler has a little cough, the dog got out of the fence again, your partner has a work crisis. .
So you sigh, stop your creative flow and think…maybe someday. Someday. When you have more time. Less responsibility. More energy.
You remind yourself that this is just how things are when you’re a mom.
Mostly, things in your life are “okay”. So why rock the boat?
So, you settle into your pjs, help with homework, rub vapo-rub on your toddler’s chest, play therapist to your distraught spouse. Comfy, “pretty good”.. that’s what life is. And it’s crazy scary to think about blowing up your comfort zone. Besides, you’re tired now anyway. .
But here’s the thing…
You know that gal writing down her biz ideas and getting excited about logo colors and marketing plans… the way that her fatigue melted away for a minute?
That gal deserves a chance.
To start creating the life she put on hold for her family. And it doesn’t have to be either/or. .
So let go of what’s comfy & go for it.
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
― Helen Keller
